Communion 2020 – 08/05/2020
Tomorrow should have been a very special day for our pupils in 2nd Class who were due to celebrate their First Holy Communion. However, it’s not cancelled and is only postponed till a later date. The wait will make the day even more special. Below is a short video just to let all the boys and girls in Rang 2 know we’re thinking of them this weekend.
Ballybrittas to Boston Week 1 – 01/05/2020
Our pupils have been extremely active in the past week or so as we started our challenge to cover the distance from Ballybrittas to Boston in the coming weeks for Dan Donoher. It also coincided with Active Week so it was great to be out and about on foot and on our bikes. In total, we travelled 938km. What a great effort! Well done to 2nd Class who were our most active class last week, travelling 224km in total. Let’s see if another class can beat them next week. It was also great to hear all the reports and see all the pictures of the boys and girls carrying a ball with them whilst clocking up the kilometres. Keep it up boys and girls!
Ballybrittas to Boston – Do it for Dan
Over the next few weeks, the pupils of Rath N.S. will run/walk/jog/cycle the distance from Ballybrittas to Boston, 4750km. We are also asking the children to carry a ball with them as they run or walk. We will update the website and twitter page regularly to keep you all informed. Please find a sheet attached explaining the concept and requirements in greater detail. I have also attached a link to our GoFundMe page. Let’s Do it for Dan!
Confirmation 2020 – 01/04/2020
Today should have been a special day for our Confirmation candidates in Rang 6. However, due to school closures as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, we’ll have to wait a little longer before our pupils get to receive the sacrament of Confirmation and become full members of the church. The wait will make the day even more special when it happens. In the meantime, as a tribute to all our 6th Class pupils on what should have been a special day for them, we have included some pictures from their journey so far through 6th Class. What a vibrant, kind, talented and fun-loving crew we have! Beidh lá eile acu.
